Their BookSense program:
http://www.booksense.com.
BookSense Advance Access Program:
Several times each month BookSense emails over a thousand independent
booksellers with news about galleys, reading copies, and finished books that
publishers are offering for review. The goal of these review copies, of course,
is to encourage the stores to stock the books and also, hopefully, nominate the
book for the BookSense list. Bookstores, if interested in the book, will email
the publisher directly for review copies. Generally 25 to 50 stores respond.
Send your book title, author, publisher, ISBN, price, binding, publication date,
subject category, two-sentence description, the number of copies you are
offering, and the email address for requests to Peter Reynolds at
peter@booksense.com. Put it all in one
paragraph without the words title, author, etc. Put your email address at the
end without a period. This allows Peter to cut and paste the description into
the longer email that he will be sending out to the stores. The fee is $100.

“Without glitzy idealism or funky hopelessness, Kremer does a sound job of talking about marketing, telling
stories from his own and others' experiences. He knows his subject, imparting important information in a
fast-paced, very open way. Extremely good stuff here.” — The Book Reader
May, 2006. 704-page softcover. $27.95. ISBN: 0-912411-49-X.
