Google Friend Connect
Google has just announced a new social networking tool that will allow
any website to offer social networking tools: friends, reviews, posts,
and much more. Right now, they are not accepting any new websites
into the program, but you should sign up to be notified right away when
they do begin accepting more. You'll also be able to view a video on
how the new system will work. Really cool stuff here. Check it out at:

African-American book clubs
Jeff Rivera, author of Forever My Lady and one of the most generous
authors in publishing, has sent me a list of 191 book clubs that discuss
African-American books. He has kindly allowed me to share the list with
you. You can download the Excel file for free at the following address:
Also, check out the new article Jeff wrote on how to attract a first
class literary agent: http://www.bookmarket.com/literaryagents.htm.
He also offers a wonderful service connecting authors with agents.
It's called Query Match: Agents. Just this past week, he has helped
three authors get agents. For more information about this service,
email Jeff at Jeff@jeffrivera.com.
